I have experience in the medical field and have experience the adverse effects on people of a socio-economic disadvantage. I am not going complain or stop paying taxes because they paid for that road you drive on to work that I have never seen. I do think everyone deserves healthcare. If you consider what the cost is to cover unpaid hospital bills, which inflates the cost of not only private insurance but Medicaid as well, it seems like universal healthcare would be a win. People can criticize social healthcare systems because they have to wait a little longer and make appointments in advance, but if you were getting a year maternity leave with pay (fathers get a leave as well in many countries).. you would not have this opinion. The inequality here is shameful. I would not want physicians pay to hurt though. But, thats more of a problem within our education system. Cost of education is extremely high here. Maybe because foreign companies like the Apollo Group who control U of Phoenix (for profit) take government grants. Thats debate is for another day. How about we just accept and have concern for each other. Honestly tell me your life would be in jeopardy if you gave up a little to save or improve the life of millions of Americans and you have me beat. - Ali
